US presidential candidate Sanders with heart problems in the hospital

US presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has temporarily suspended his campaign because of heart problems. The 78-year-old Senator had been diagnosed with a blocked artery, said Sanders consultant Jeff Weaver on Wednesday. Therefore, his election campaign events are canceled until further notice.
The candidate for the presidential candidacy of the opposition Democrats had reportedly suffered chest complaints during a performance on Tuesday evening (local time). According to a study that diagnosed arterial obstruction, two stents were used. These are implants that keep veins open.
The intervention was "successful," said Weaver. Sanders talks and is "in good spirits". He will rest in the next few days.
The left-leaning senator is among the narrower favorites in the Democrats for the candidacy against President Donald Trump in the coming year. In recent surveys, he had dropped from second to third place, however. He was overtaken by Senator Elizabeth Warren, who also represents decidedly left-leaning positions. On average, recent polls continue to put former Vice President Joe Biden ahead of Democrats.
